About
In 1985 for my 14th Birthday, my mother asked me
if I would like a calf (yes that’s right, a baby cow) or a Commodore64 computer. Over 20 years later, I still wonder what I’d be doing right now had I chose the calf. I chose the Commodore64 and I have been a technaholic ever since. I made a career of my passion and have worked as a Computer Professional for over 15 years now. I’ll be the first to tell you I don’t know everything, this field is always evolving and you must train continually if you want to keep up. What I can tell you is, I have a gift for understanding technology, the bits and bytes have always made sense to me. I began my professional journey by taking a Microcomputers and Microprocessors correspondence course taught through NRI, the National Radio Institute. After NRI, I developed an interest in electronics and received my degree in Electronics Technology from Electronics Institute, now known as Pinnacle Career Institute in Kansas City Missouri. I graduated 2nd in my class and was one of twenty across the U.S. to be recruited by Dell Computer Corp. for their Network Server Support Group. For personal reasons, I left Dell to move back to Kansas in 1999. After a year as a contractor for Entex Information Systems, I took a position with SBC, now AT&T. I have been with AT&T ever since. I was hired as a DSL Systems Technician. After my first year, a surplus situation opened a door for me to become a Central Office 5E Switch Technician. After five and a half years, I moved into management at AT&T. For the next six years, I worked back in my original field of Computer and Mobile Device support with AT&T's Executive Support Team. I also obtained a few certifications along the way. Looking to continue my growth, and a new challenge, I accepted my current role working with AT&T's Media Productions group, and my journey continues.
